Cranes

In spring, and in much greater numbers in autumn, cranes dominate the natural spectacle around Hessenburg: they stand in their hundreds on the harvested fields before moving on from their resting place. Cranes can be observed at the Kranorama in Günz and at the NABU Experience Center Kranichwelten. But you can also follow them on evening boat trips to their roosting places on the shallow shores of the Bodden.
